Many Americans have many complaints about many aspects of health care in America. Most complaints pertain to costs. Most are also followed by appeals for more government involvement and centralization. What most of these complainers don't comprehend is how most of their complaints have root causes in what government is already doing to us.
The key word is "universal". It means only that everyone gets some. It does not mean
"uniform", nor does it necessitate centralized (government) administration, nor even
a single-payer bureaucracy.
Health care is too expensive because of what government (including state level) has
already done. We should un-do the damage before allowing government to intrude
further.
